GENERAL ORGANIZATION FOR EXPORT AND IMPORT CONTROL (GOEIC)

GOEIC has authorized Baltic Control® to verify product conformity prior to shipment to Egypt.

OBJECTIVES:

• Protection of consumers and the environment, supporting Egyptian industry
• Ensuring conformity and quality assurance of imported products
• Faster release of goods at customs within the border crossings and entry points of the Arab Republic of Egypt

PROCESS:

The exporter applies for a certificate to Baltic Control® offices. This application must include the following:

• Declaration of registration with GOEIC – all exporters of regulated products must be registered with GOEIC to export to Egypt
• Proforma invoice / final invoice / packing list / name and contact details of the importer and exporter
• Conformity documents or test reports demonstrating compliance with Egyptian standards (issued by laboratories with ISO 17025 accreditation)
• Certificates regarding the quality / safety management system
• Information on the location of the products and the planned date for the pre-shipment physical inspection to be carried out

GENERAL AUTHORITY FOR SUPPLY COMMODITIES (GASC)

Baltic Control® is registered with GASC and is authorized to issue certificates on behalf of GASC by performing inspection, examination, and analysis (mostly for sugar, wheat products, and oils) during the production, packaging, weighing, and shipment stages in the country of origin.
